Work Order Events

Under the Events tab, users can populate the event fields as and when they occur. A sample is given below:

Populate the event field with appropriate time and date or select from Current Date/Time, NA, TBA, or Clear.

Current Date/Time: Select Current Date/Time if the event has occurred now. This will populate the event field with the current date and time.

Not Applicable (NA): Select NA for an event if it is not applicable to this work order.

To be Advised (TBA): Select TBA if the time and date of the event is not known yet.

Clear: Selecting Clear will simply clear the field.

Skipping events or leaving them blank is not allowed in TrakIT. Doing so leads to the Out of Sequence error while populating event fields. This means that one or more events before the event being populated are missing. These missing events can be filled with NA or TBA to avoid this error. For events where Apply to T/D or Apply to S/I is selected, this error may come despite all previous events being filled. This is because the missing event check is also being applied to all work orders in the shipment. De-select the Apply to T/D or Apply to S/I checkbox for such event and then populate the event field.

Click on icon to view information about a particular field. This also gives the summary of actions along with their result if defined on a specific event. To see more about actions, go to Event/Data Actions.

Click on icon to populate event against one or more work orders at a time.

Exporting Work Order Events

To download events information, click on the 'Export' button at the bottom of the page. It will download the information about the work order's events in MS-Excel.

Note

  1. By default an event cannot have a future time/date. For having events to accept future date, it is necessary to keep the "Information only" toggle Yes.

  2. If the time being entered is not in the future, please make sure your computer time and time zone are correct on the local machine.

  3. An event cannot be "Mandatory" and "Information Only" at the same time.

  4. Not applicable (NA) is allowed if it is enabled in Event Definitions.

Events fields for a workflow are defined in Event Definitions. To see more go to Event Definitions.
